15 Online Educational Websites Zero-Rated by the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation
In support of the free quality school education, Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation together with the National Telecommunications Authority is happy to announce its partnership with Orange Sierra Leone, Africell Sierra Leone Sierra and QCell Salone Pride to launch the first phase of Zero rating (15) educational websites across various institutions in Sierra Leone.
These educational platforms were carefully selected and validated by Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation and the different partners from different search engines based on the frequency of searches they receive daily.
Objectives of implementing zero-rating:
1. Support for the Free Quality Education Program
2. Augmented access to educational resources
3. Enriched learning opportunities through blended learning methodologies
4. Advancement of digital literacy and technological acumen
5. Bringing government services closer to citizens

These Fifteen (15) websites provide:
*Teachers with free access to apply for PIN codes
*Students with access to learning materials that support the curriculum
*Citizens with access to self-learning content at no cost
*Free access to government services
How does zero rating work?
*Your mobile data should always be turned on when accessing these 15 websites
*At least, have some data in your phone
This project is a testament to the ministry’s commitment to complementing the President’s efforts in advancing digital inclusion, education accessibility and partnership with the private sector.
