A lineup of celebrated Jamaican reggae artists, including Christopher Martin, has arrived in Freetown ahead of the highly anticipated One Nation Reggae Festival—an upcoming six-day cultural celebration scheduled from 25 to 30 November 2025.
According to festival organizers, the event is poised to become one of Sierra Leone’s major cultural showcases, uniting top Jamaican performers with prominent local talents such as Cosko-B and members of the Sierra Leone Reggae Union. International reggae icons Sizzla Kalonji, Queen Ifrica, Jah Thunder, Arqane and Danny Bless are also expected to headline various performances.
The festival will officially open on 25 November at 2:00 p.m. at the Bintumani Hotel, where a week-long programme will commence, emphasizing music, heritage and deeper Caribbean–Salone cultural exchange. Organizers say the initiative aims to celebrate reggae’s global legacy as a symbol of resistance, unity and social consciousness, while strengthening artistic collaboration between Sierra Leonean and Caribbean creatives.

A major highlight of the programme is the Freedom Heritage Tour, scheduled for 26 November from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The tour will take participants from Freetown to Kent, offering an immersive historical journey that reflects the shared experiences and resilient narratives connecting both regions.
Additionally, a Creative Clinic designed for emerging and established artists will be held on 27 November at the Bintumani Hotel. Running from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the session will provide mentorship, artistic development opportunities and space for collaboration among local and international talent.
With its blend of music, cultural education and creative empowerment, the One Nation Reggae Festival is set to strengthen Sierra Leone’s position as a growing hub for regional cultural exchange.
